Key note speeches will be given from the EU and North West angles, identifying where the health debate is heading at EU level and examining the common grounds for action. Chris Davies will highlight the role of North West organisations in engaging with the European Parliament on health issues. The three speakers will then form a panel and answer questions from the audience.

Conference participants will then divide into 3 separate workshops on Wellbeing, Health Research and Innovation, and Investment in Health. These are areas of joint priority for the NW region and the EU. The aim is to improve understanding from both levels of the concrete actions or collaborations that may be possible at either level to improve population health and wellbeing. This will also highlight real European opportunities for NW stakeholders to collaborate and influence policy at the EU level.

How to Engage with the European Public Health and Wellbeing Agenda
